This building was burned out I believe more than 10 years ago. Still looking for information on what it use to be.

I found some information on it. It's the "Hintonburg Pumphouse" and used to be a pumping station for the area. It was then changed into a gatehouse for Lemieux Island with a living space for a public servant in the water department. The City of Ottawa still owns it but has no current plans for it.
I remember this being lived in when I grew up in the area. It was a beautiful, very well kept house.
It's a very nice place. Looks like there is some matresses in the basement. Some homeless might be sleeping there.
Found some more info...says the devastating fire happened in 1989, and it had received a heritage designation in 1987 and then in 1988 it was re-zoned Heritage Commercial to try to promote reuse.
