Beside the rock climbing gym vertical reality on Victoria island is the old remains of what looks like a mill that water from the dam goes through. Don(a)t worry about it filling up, as it is at the same level practically all the time and unless your in a huge rainstorm or something you shouldn(a)t have anything to worry about.
To get to it is pretty scetchy, you either have to climb down a huge (50+ ft.) cement wall at 90 degrees (there is a tree and other features that make the climb easy) near the booth board mill. Or you have to take one of two equally scetchy routes near vertical reality, one(a)s a rope attached to crumbling bricks and the other(a)s a large diagonal cement wall you must slide down. Any way you get down you(a)ll probably need some urban climbing/parkour experience to do sucessfully, but once down there, you(a)ll understand the name it was given.
Below is a veritable paradise of old stone arches, picture-esque small waterfalls, and foliage. Unfortunately the one time I went down I didn(a)t take any pictures because of the weather, but next time I(a)ll get some.

went with a few friends in late spring when the water was still pretty high, still had a great time :) rope and latter are still present, near the victoria island sign of you keep walking towards the edge. footing isn’t too sturdy on the climb down but it gets better.
I didn't see the rope mentioned in the description, but someone left a section of cable tray (looks like an aluminum ladder) leaning against the brick wall, visible from the parking lot. Once inside, I got to the lower level by going down a pipe (unintentionally), and swam across the deeper water to the lowered bank and simply walked back up.
Went here a few weeks ago, didn't end up with any good pictures. A worker from vertical reality came out, wished me luck, and mentioned that it's really difficult to get back up from the lower level in the summer. Apparently they often have to rescue people.
Was caught climbing down today with a friend by some construction workers. They just told us to be careful and that they were nearby if we needed help haha. Great spot, pictures later!
I went to the booth board mill twice and walked right by this site both times and it was so tempting to go inside. But I almost got caught going in the second time so Idek when the next I'm going near that place
Unfortunately, while I wasnt prepared to access the site, I do have a few photos of the exterior.
I'm really impressed by this site. I've drove by countless amounts of times and never walked by... I've always been intrigued by this place and now that I'm seeing how it looks like inside.. i'm really tempted to browse through - sometime soon?
