This house sits back off of a busy street in London almost as if it is forgotten. It's bigger than it looks in pictures and is such a beautiful property. Almost every window/door is boarded up with 2x4's implying that somebody may come back for it or wanted to keep something in. There are two ponds on the property. On one of the side window's somebody broke the window and tried to what looked like saw through one of the 2x4's to gain access. Upon crouching down to peak in the broken window we learned that the house is pristine inside. The beautiful double doors and the detailing on the house is almost sad that people would have to leave such a beauty behind.

I am sad to say this beauty is gone :( I drive past this spot a few times a day and always say I am going to stop when i have time, I never did.
Such a Beauty! This would have been my dream home in it's day. Love the mirror effect pictures! What a shame. I wonder why it was abandoned. Terrible shame. The wood work, ponds, the bathroom....
Yep. City crews have been cutting down the trees every day this week. Demolition recommended: https://www.london.ca/newsroom/Documents/420Fanshawe.pdf
I heard that they are starting to cut the trees down. We all know what that means.
Was re boarded by the city A couple of weeks ago. A demolition permit was granted for the property, which will be replaced by several smaller houses.
This is going to end up being a demolition by neglect, and that's really upsetting.
Property is pretty well-maintained. Lawn cut, and boards are pretty recent but varying in age.
Hard to believe no one has been inside, boarding is very weak these days. Awesome house.
I believe I drove by this during the winter. I was thinking it was just going through some restorations.

I am absolutely appalled to see that they tore this down to build more high rises. Disgusting...
