Big beauty of a house, right on the lakeshore. Many floors, a piano in the living room and a little glass atrium on the side. My abandoned dreamhome :)

I hope you don't mind me adding this information. I grew up in this area, not on the lake like this house, but it was my stomping ground.
The city that this location should be listed under is Toronto, more specifically the area or "town" which the locals call it, is Mimico, which is inside the boundaries of Toronto.
This is the old John McBride house, which was built in 1927. There are a number of beautiful homes along this stretch of Mimico on the Lakeshore. Many were built in the late 1800's & early 1900's by some prominent names, Eaton, McGuinness, & Loblaw. The Polish Consulate is the old McGuiness estate.
I don't think any of these homes have been historically designated yet, there is a portion of an estate, a gardeners cottage, that is on its way to being designated with the Ontario Heritage Act. Sadly, the house in question here, already has an approved demolition permit. Too many condo's in the old Motel Strip area, hopefully not next to these old lakefront estates.

I just changed it's location from Mississauga to Toronto. It's in Mimico, which is a part of Toronto. I also changed it to active as it appears as though they are renovating it. It's got fencing around the property with a renovation company sign on it. I would way rather see that then a demolition.
I pass this place all the time, would love to take a look but I think im probably too late, im sure its either locked up or visited frequently. For sale sign still but, would looooove to own this beauty.
WOW! I must have sounded very interested! Quick reply from the realtor. See above description for details.
RE: I'm quite certain someone slipped into a closet upstairs while I was there You throwing open the door with the camera's timer set on a tripod would have been the photo of the year!!!!!!!
Notes from my visit - Car pulled up while I was in the house, two guys came out, walked around the property, took some pics and left - Found a receipt from December 31st, 2012 in the squatters room upstairs. - I'm quite certain someone slipped into a closet upstairs while I was there, I heard a door close but no one responded when I called out. whatev! Just be careful if you visit!
A BMW SUV was in the driveway when I drove by yesterday, I spun around and parked on the road, by then it was gone. Possibly an agent? Also I was in the backyard letting my dog rip and taking in the view when a gentleman came around claiming he loved the house and was just taking pictures, not venturing inside.
I'll switch it. :) As for the coords, I can try harder, it's just that I only lived in Toronto for a month and used to pass by this place on my jogs; not sure of the exact location.
agreed on the FM notion, as well maybe more accurate coords. i don't see anything in the area that looks like this on google maps.
Ahhhhhh this place is AWESOME!!! Should we be putting this in FM status...? I have to go here!

That's too bad, they gave me a false hope with the renovation sign in front.
