I've driven past this place a dozen plus times, admiring the little barn right at the edge of the road each time. In summer it's tough to see the house due to the foliage, although it's very close to the road. I had yet to pay it a visit, but was very happy that changed on a recent tour. The interior is in pretty good shape. Not much decay to speak of. The contents are piled high in each and every room. Getting around is a chore in itself. So...much...stuff. Surprisingly there doesn't seem to be a bandit infiltration yet. I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked to picking through things to discern the year it became abandoned, but one date I did find was 1999. I did find a name on a prescription bottle, but neglected to take a shot of it. That can be for next time, or the next explorer. Make sure you shut the door tightly to keep the critters out!

Man I've passed this place so many times on the drive back from Tobermory but never went in. Looks like quite the place! Yes, in the summer it's well camouflaged!
When we approached the front entrance, the mask was staring up at us in the leaves. Was a cool intro to the place. For sure, an hour plus more would have revealed many more secrets and more history. Thus, a return is warranted!
Great spot, love these places. I noticed a chest in the back corner of one of these shots. Wonder what the contents might hold? You always have to wonder if there's some real treasure buried in the mess somewhere. The best shot though is the Halloween mask - ultra cool with the fall leaves.

This one may be gone now as I didn't see it.
