A Trip Down Memory Lane

You may see this dilapidated garage as you walk down Memory Lane. No, that was not an idiom, as the building is quite literally located on “Memory Lane”, perhaps one of the most charming names for any alleyway in Toronto. The garage itself is quite the mess. The insulation is completely gone from the ceiling, and what is left of the plastic sheeting dangles loosely from the wooden foundations of the roof. There’s an abundance of graffiti across the walls. Garbage and debris is strewn across the floor.

If this is what a trip down Memory Lane looks like, it is a brutal trip indeed. One can hope that the memories made in this crumbling garage are kinder than the state it’s been left in.
