The perimeter is gated by a ~10 foot wooden wall. I went later in the evening, but it I assume it is an active site, and is right beside a large building that is being constructed for the Ontario Line. It's located right beside a very busy mosque, so watching out for bystanders would be a good idea- especially if you were to climb the fence in daylight. Lots of inactive cameras inside, no active cameras in the area.
Unsurprising for a commercial location, but there wasn't much history to be found about this location. Google maps street view tracks back to 2007, and little change has happened over the years to either restauraunt. I was unable to find when the restauraunts opened- but I can assume the building was built for the fast-food chains and wasn't repurposed, due to it's distinct double-drive-thru layout.
In the 1960's and early 1970's, this location's address had previously belonged to a company called "Olivetti Underwood Limited", a business that sold office products such as typewriters, calculators and copying products, however there was little information on this- and most likely had been a different building located at the same address. The years in between 1972-2007 are largely a mystery to me.
