Hazards of GHD Limit-dead - 651 Colby Drive

All belted up with alarms and likely cameras inside, not even 20 feet away from funeral home / large street and nearby businesses

History of GHD Limit-dead - 651 Colby Drive

The building and lot was previously owned by GHD, a local company of engineering consultants headquartered elsewhere in the city as of 2021. The lot has been purchased, and proposed building plans from the City of Waterloo suggest that the current office building remain standing, with two additional commercial buildings.

The building is in a general state of disrepair, but there is very little vandalism which suggests that it was either recently closed or has enough occasional activity to prevent window-smashing and other forms of vandalism.

There was only one active door alarm noted.

It is now gone. I was in the neighbourhood, driving by and I was surprised to see it is now 100% flattened. Happened quick.

Before GHD it was the main Conestoga Rovers building, they were a well-known locally-founded engineering/environmental remediation firm that got bought out by GHD.

Keycard entry. 100% alarms. Someone DOES go here frequently. Why? I dont know. This building is entirely inaccessible. Watched for 2 years along some others I know. Upping to a LV2.
