Grandlinq was the successful bidder to build & operate the ION LRT in the Waterloo Region.

In 2012, Grandlinq was offered a spot in the bids for Waterloo region’s LRT program. In June of that same year, their formal request was submitted. In March 2014, the region identified Grandlinq as the preferred bidder, and the final approval was made March 19th. The financial aspect closed May 9, 2012. Grandlinq was partnered with: Plenary Group Canada, Meridian Infrastructure Waterloo, Aecon, Mass Electric Construction and CIBC World Markets.

Fast forward to today, the LRT is now running and this building they used to use is now decaying. Posters from Grandlinq partners still fill the walls of this location.

Its going real quick. One or moar of the fantastic kinds of people, stomp across the rotting wood patio and its starting to leak water inside the building. Should be interesting in the winter.
