Set in a forest of trees and very dark, I almost missed this pioneer cemetery. There is a customary blank piece of property where a church must have been. A few stand up headstones and cairn. The names are badly weathered and the last names legible are: Chrysler, Crysler, Garver, Kelly,Noper, Smith, Warden and Wilson. Cayuga was incorporated as a village in 1859 and was named after a Six Nations Native who was awarded land in the area. This cemetery rises to 200 meters high from the very close Grand river.
