Active Drain in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

A very long drain that we found close to where I take the bus. I had been there a long time ago but only about 20 meters in at most. Turns out it's HUGE! We walked all the way to the end (took us about 90 minutes with picture time and stops.) We made the trip back in about 45 minutes. You cannot exit on the other end of the tunnel since there is a very solid fence so plan some time for the trip back.

Lots of cool stuff. The main tunnel starts at 240cm and at the end it's 180cm high. Some smaller tunnels branch off and get smaller and smaller until you have to crawl (which we didn't do because freezing cold water is bloody cold!).

Make sure you don't go in there when it's raining even though it shouldn't be a problem with this one it's always a good thing to check when exploring drains.

Very cool. Not sure if I would be brave enough to go in.

Active works for me. My question was more philosophical really...if it is still "draining", it's by definition, active :-). Of course, it probably doesn't have a power meter either.....arrgh, my brain just exploded!!!

Be a Fountain not a Drain.

I get what you guys say but in my opinion it is a very nice place to explore, some might not agree but hey I'm just sharing the pictures that I got. I guess it wouldn't be an abandoned place but it's for sure a decaying place that no many people get to see. If you want me to change it to active just PM me.

OAP can weigh in on this but drains is a category. But like bridges, barns, cemeteries etc, it's best to spread them out and not focus entirely on them. Some people do like draining, we should cater to everybody on here. It's also Blaze's only drain location so far. It serves a purpose for some. I'm guessing the status should be 'active'.

Me neither. It's a category that is available and it is also a thing that people have an interest in.

Not sure an active drain (sewer system) fits the criteria for OAP..

I always wondered about the "status" for drains. Is it really abandoned?
