History of Dépanneur St-Francois

Dépanneur St-Francois stood on the corner of René Rd. and St-Francois-Xavier Rd. since at least the early 2000s. However, by the beginning of 2018, the corner store was abandoned, and the entirety of St-Francois-Xavier Rd. was demolished.

Today, only the basement of what once was the corner store remains, with the roof and second story having collapsed on itself. The compression of 2 stories into a single basement paired with the demolition of the entire road offers an eerie and almost dystopian feeling of disconnect when on this road. The corner store's basement is filled with construction & household debris as well as the unstable remains of the roof. Explore with caution.
