The People's Church of London was founded in 1973 by Rev. Percy C. Thompson. The small--but dedicated--congregation met in the converted Wellington St. home for several years until it had the resources and government permission to build an expansion, which happened in the late 1980s. Though the congregation, of the Apostolic denomination, was small--sometimes only a couple dozen people worshipping at the church--the church had a relatively stable existence. Even now, the church has not closed, but rather moved to another location, and apparently left their older belongings behind.
As part of the SoHo redevelopment in London--the same project that resulted in the demolition of South Street Hospital, Fincore purchased the site formerly housing the People's Church, and will be demolishing it at some point in the future.

This was probably the worst Ontario explore for me. Place is trashed, druggies call it home, needles everywhere and the stench upstairs was unbearable, I had to run out. One junkie was there on my visit, I would avoid this place.

This is now completely demolished, a new business has put a trailer on the property which houses a dispensary.
