Logging camp operated by the Marathon Corporation and later by American Can Corp. It was established in approx. 1948 and the the community was in existence until the late Seventies. The logging camp and town-site has been demolished and there is no indication that Stevens was a vibrant community of approx. 500 people in it's heyday.

I will be taking pictures of the current site this summer and will post them. I know of several foundations and remains that I will document.
Yes, one has to actually go to the location and then take pictures of the location to confirm its location to others and the pictures should be about the description or help explain the description. Did you get permission from these people to post these pics online? Just some things to think aboot brew.
Can you possibly go out to the site and see if you can at least get some photographs of old remains... of any kind, even. Foundations? Otherwise, I'd hate to see your very 1st post removed, but there needs to be more substance to the listing. Sorry, especially since that first pic is probably your family.

There is a Stevens Ave. In Marathon. Is it the same 'Stevens' and if so, what does anyone know about him? My in-laws (Lees) lived on Stevens for many years.
