This is what remains of Tashota, ON.

I'm going against what I said earlier by posting this before I found any further history on the location, but, it had to be done.

I've tried as much as I can to find some real history to no avail. I have tried to contact different people who work for CN, one long time friend is putting some feelers out there for me, so if that eventually turns anything up, I'll add it. I've found old railroad time tables dating back to 1945 that make no mention of Tashota being a frequent stop, whistle stop, or flag stop.

I have found old mining reports (thanks Fiso, I ended up finding a couple more things that I had skipped over before) that make mention of Tashota station, but that's about it. Any history buffs out there that can point me in the right direction, I'm all ears.

There isn't much left out here, a few foundations, including the station, and more tin and glass piles than you care to know about. Not really the most exciting location, really hard to get to, but, if you're into that sort of thing it's worth the work.

If you follow the tracks eastward you'll see the remnants of a wye track that accessed a ballast pit used to construct the rail road in the early part of the 1900's.
