I live not far from the Daigle house. I was so disappointed when I saw in the local news that it had burned to the ground. My last gallery of Daigle was taken with my iphone as thats all I had on hand. I had gotten a professional camera for my birthday this winter and was planning to go back in the spring and photograph it the way it deserved to be photographed :( I'll never get to do that now.

Actually now that I'm comparing my pictures to the others, I'm not even certain that this is the same building, unless there's been that much deterioration over the last 3 years. I did map the coordinates.

I've no idea how anybody gained inside access to this place. I drove 2 hours to check this place out and when I arrived there was much human traffic and lots of houses with yappy dogs along the right side of the building. I would have loved to venture into this place more but at least I snagged a few basic pictures for 2013.

Down old mill beach road is a popular swim spot with the locals. the water is warm and the beach, beautiful. If you plan to visit the area in the summer, bring a swim suit. also is an excellent spot to fish and boat.
