I was visiting my parents last week and went by this place. It looks like it's gone.

I drive by here a lot and used to get gas here. It was abandoned in 2016 sometime, I think.

I drove by here today and it appears to be gone. No roof visible behind the trees and a lot of light coming through those trees.

This was my church. The United Church congregation has disbanded and sold the building to a Korean Church. The last service of the United Church congregation was Oct 2015.

As I was trying to find this place I asked for direction at an old house. The old man who lived there told me how security was pretty lax at times. He remembered watching some of the prisoners go past his house, speaking German, on their way to the lake to have a swim.

It is so strange seeing my old church not the way I remembered it on Sundays.

Ha ha ha. I didn't notice that I caught my reflection. I do sometimes purposely snap my pict in mirrors.
