The boarded up remains of the Haliburton School of Fine Arts on the shore of Head Lake in the town of Haliburton.

Opened in 1968 the Haliburton School of Fine Arts was founded by a local Haliburton arts council. In 1969 the school became part of Sir Sandford Fleming College and the school operated on the shore of Head Lake for over 30 years.

The original campus closed and a new and very modern campus was built just up the road and is now called the Haliburton School of the Arts. The original school has sat empty for the last 10 years. Decaying slowing by the lake. Currently the property is up for sale.

Located on a busy road the property is used by dog walkers. No one seemed to care I was there including the neighbours. I was unable to get any interiors myself but if anyone would like to take a peek inside simply follow the external link to a gallery I found on another site that was taken in 2011 before the boards went up.
