I always wondered what happened to this beautiful house
vitalfilms • 14 years ago
did anyone notice there's a small road to the left of the school, which goes to the back of the lot. I believe there might be a cemetery back there, I could be completely wrong.
Nice, this is some really good history you got here. I've once heard of William Berczy before but here there is some detailed info.
Nice nice! the paper I have I got in the house on mississauga rd at williams pkwy. (db location: williamssauga) its dated back to 1942. I'll post some pics of the newspaper in a couple days.
A mirror on the tracks? hmmm never heard of such an oddity..Hi Diane..

Actually, Vitalfilms, it was! I had a hard time figuring it out as the top of the paper is shredded off .. it dates from either 1947 or 1948, as there is an article about the (__?___) All Canadian Winners, 1947. I've been to this house a few times. The last time I went, I was around back and there was a small window that was missing from the back porch. I looked inside and saw something fla
WOW this place is phenomenal! I love that stone work, completely amazing!. I have never seen a building that's built like that, that has this much structure left still standing. I would be awesome if someone can find some history behind this place. Spectacular find! and great photos guys!

Great Grist Mill.
What a Shame.
Hey Clay ~ mirror on the train tracks. Probably for the conductors/engineers to see the length of the train. And that's Diane's reflection in the mirror.
hey,, in the next gallery there really is a lady...but she is actually in a mirror..can someone explain? or is it a joke?
ok I was starting to worry that the owner was buried under the snow...hehe
Yes that double decker is sweet...Its on hwy 2 just west of Welcome...all part of Town of Port Hope ..
yeah no problem at all.. This school is another awesome piece of history here in scarborough. A friend of mine, his father actually went to this school, umm well after 1904 anyways lol.
