I am 18 years old and located in SK. SK is known to be one of if not the worst province when it comes to large abandonded buildings. I know of many abanonded farm yards and have explored one 25,000sq ft plus complex. I am looking for someone in SK that has some experience with exploring and knows of some of their own spots to explore with and show my spots to.

i know its deadly and everything but thats not what im mainly worried. about im worried about how i cant find jack crap in this city i cant find any abandoned manufacturing plants I can't find any abandoned house this cities to "clean" atleast they keep it clean in the obvious spots maybe im not looking deep enough

Indian backpacker (34/F) here in Toronto, leaving by the end of February. Since I’m visiting a foreign country, I love making the most of all the unique and unusual experiences this place has to offer. In my country, exploring abandoned places isn’t very common, but I’ve watched videos about it and would love to try it at least once in my lifetime before leaving. If anyone has plans for such activities and is okay with it, please consider including me. I’m also interested in paranormal exploration, but I couldn’t find any specific sites. if you have ideas for any adrenaline-rush activities, I’d love to hear about them. We only live once, right? Thanks!

Looking for friends interested in the same thing as me exploring. Im located In the "Torornto-Ottawa Corridor" Im good with any age above 18 and if you can keep your cool if things got hairy ie Homeless, Police, Hazards and fears. A little bit about me. My name is Dom and I was Born in the "Corridor" Which is slang for Kingston and have had the traviling blues since I was 5 or so. Im very good with Wildlife and spent alot of my life doing my own time rehabing wild animals (Raccoons, Street dogs, Birds, Mice and a Fox) I also have my First-aid and Confined space training so Im Prepared for Hazards I like being in hotzones for the rush of it but im also good for any level of danger, Im just tired of the stress it also brings being solo. Have car will travel I really really want to Explore a mine but won't do it alone just in case I get injured down there and die without a chance for help or rescue and to wrap this up I just want to say I will leave if there is any Birch tree inside the Building, Ruin or Complex we are in for past reasons

I believe I should be upgraded to Level 2 in the OAP system because I have found five locations, most of them being Level 2, and I have visited 11 abandoned places. I have been urban exploring since last summer, gaining experience in finding and safely exploring these places. I understand the risks and challenges and always respect the locations I visit. With my effort and experience, I am ready for the next level.

Wow time flies. I am now applying for lvl 3. But first let me give a quick intro to how even started exploring. i found my first Bando on may 20 2022 and was speechless. I have never seen anything like it before. Why was the foundation made out of rocks? How old is this place? Is it a house or a church? How is it still standing? So many questions flooded my mind. I went everyday with my friends after school for a month or two after that and we finally found a way in. I was shocked it was in such good condition. I thought the floors would be all ripped apart and garbage all over the place. Nope, it was just an empty, dark ass 1860s farmhouse. We way too close to the front door and the alarm went off and we RAN. Once we left and got to the road we waited for someone to show up but no one did. Or so we thought. We went back and then someone pulled up. He did not see us so we just biked home as fast as we could. than almost a year later I did some digging on the house during class. Found out the house is 160 years old and was shocked. I then went on to flex to everyone I went to an abandoned house older than Canada itself. Some time around then I found the site (oap) and had no idea that people explore abandoned buildings as a hobby and I was instantley intrigued. I posted my first album (it was so ass I deleted it a long time ago) and was dissapointed to realize it wasn't my location. Anyway so I found other places locally and uploaded them and applied for lvl 2. Once I got it after a month of waiting I was like damn there's lots of other places still around me I had no idea existed. My photography id say has improved greatly since I started though my photo my quality hasn't long story short I crushed my 0.5x camera on my phone and now it has dent, hence why like half my photos and grainy and blurry af. My 1x shots are very good though id say. My low light window shots are my favourite to take. Now I am currently debating getting a proper low light photography camera ($800!?) or just fixing my phone camera ($150-$200). Now for my contributions. I usually visit and upload 1800s/eraly 1900s farmhouses. I have a stack of location (64) as of typing this and 129 albums. As of 1 month ago I have started uploading more quality albums. No more exteriors only. My albums have lots of photos and re-ordered in it's correct order. Though I will still ask you to please excuse my grainy 0.5x shots. My best album is probably the one with the Orangeville Brampton Railway. As I walked Almost the whole thing which was 50km and I took photos of my whole adventure. I will only be uploading quality albums for as long as this site is active. I haven't explored with anyone except my with my dad and one person on this site UnkownUbex? If you would want to explore with me than dm me on discord. Now I get around with bike/walk/public transit. Though usually with my bike. I love biking to spots as its a hella workout which reminds me you should be able to bike at least 40km. my current pr is 105km and **will** be broken soon. So that's all I have to say. I hope you consider my application and all feeback is appreciated. Now I will go back to sitting on my ass waiting for the rain to stop. Or I may go on a quick 40km Bike ride we'll see.

After lots of explorations, including some close calls and exciting escapes, I’m here to apply for level 3. I’m grateful to have a community that not only is about urban exploration but is also primarily in Ontario as well. In the last 6 months, I was able to meet new people, explore more places, and most importantly damage my lungs further! Looking back, I can definitively say my photography skills have improved, from lighting, editing, creativity and framing all being technical aspects I’ve gotten better at since joining this website. I will reiterate from my last promotion that many of my explorations come at night, making picture-taking a little more challenging- however I’ve adapted by buying a nice flashlight that has served me well. Moving towards my actual contributions, I have tried my best to ensure my uploads are quality albums that integrate what I feel are the most important aspects of a location, along with focusing the majority of my albums on being interiors, to give the fullest experience as I can. Earlier on, I had uploaded more exterior albums just for the sake of content, but I’ve tried to keep that to a minimum over the last few months. Of my last 50 albums, **only three** of them have been exteriors. [some people should follow that initiative ;)]. I’ve also put a focus on trying to find many of my *own* locations, as I do find that more enjoyable than going to other people’s spots. In Toronto it’s a bit of a dogfight, but there’s definitely lots of spots out there. It unfortunately results in a lot of trial-and-error, but also makes the successful finds feel much more rewarding as well. I’ve spent a lot of time learning and observing different methods to find locations, and I’m looking forward to finding more spots and contributing in the future. Finally, I like to put effort in my write-ups by providing as much detailed information as I can about a location-when there is history to share. Aside from a couple blank write-ups I need to catch up on, I like to provide clear, informational history of a spot. A couple of examples include the write-ups I posted for [20721](https://ominous.app/browse/site/20721) and [20734](https://ominous.app/browse/site/20734), (which are level 1, so everyone can see). Okay, that was quite long-winded, so I’ll wrap it up here. I appreciate the consideration for level 3, and I hope the community feels my contributions are significant enough to warrant the promotion. These are seperated into two Level 1, three Level 2, and four Level. 3. I believe my high quality locations paired eith my 4+ months of activity more than qualify me for a promotion to level 2. Well, here I am, applying for Level 3! Time flies. Prepare for a 'I'm not reading all of that' novel! Since getting Level 2, I've started going to much better locations, and contributing what I can, where I can. I've only gotten more and more enjoyment of discovering and exploring new places to walk through and take pictures of. I like to think I've contributed a good chunk in my time as Level 2. Not that I intend to slow down or have that change in any way, but I think it goes without saying that I'm interested in climbing my way up to Level 3 so that I can see some more consistent locations and continue my journey into the hobby. In the last few months I've talked with a lot of you and gotten a much better understanding of things. I've made a good handful of friends and had some fun discussions with people. Unrelated to the site, but the Discord is always a fun time LOL. Whenever I upload my albums I try to label every image of what every room used to be / is, I share my opinion on some things in the image descriptions whenever I can, and just in general I try to be as detailed and accurate as possible in the things I write about, whether it be about a location **or** just on an image description. I like judging bathrooms :) On top of that I'm always trying to capture a lot of good, wide angle images of the places I explore so they can be viewed exactly as they are before they inevitably either decay more, or get demolished, since that's basically always what happens in this scene. I'm not incredibly artsy or creative like some of yous, but I think I defintiely do a good job of 'documenting' in a sense exactly what I see, as I see it. Also, I have no history (and no plans) of vandalism or really as far as my knowledge goes, any offences in the community. I like to keep it calm and at least semi-professional :) **Now I will point out something that may be of important value if you're taking the time to vote for me and you're only Level 2**. You'll only be able to see 12 of my 26 locations. 9 of those you'll only see exteriors. Not exactly a lot to work off of in terms of voting, so unfortunately the best I can do for yous that meet this exact criteria is list out what you can't see (and these are all in terms of my 'new locations', as in terms of actual album contributions I'm well past requirement): 1x L1 location - 1x (all) has both interior & exterior 11x L2 locations - 2x have interiors, and (unfortunately) 9x are exterior only 7x L3 locations - 5x have interiors, 2x are exterior only 7x L4 locations - 7x (all) have interiors This might be valuable information for some of you so, figure I will write it out in case you can't see it and check yourself. Most of the places I visit (at least recently) are L3/4 so if you can't see them it may not look like I have much. So, with that, I hope my current contributions are enough to be promoted to Level 3, but I'm always open to constructive criticism and am (regardless of the outcome of this election) going to continue adding new locations and new albums to the site. Unfortunately, not having the time is my biggest issue currently. Can only get a few every few weeks. Also, any questions or comments you've got for me, go ahead and put 'em in this thread and I'll respond when I can. Thanks for considering and/or reading (if you read all this)
