Silo postings?

I wanted to make this thread to understand what people think about the posting of a sole silo. I personally find them interesting, despite them essentially just being a large cylindrical concrete object, and so have been to a few with intentions to visit more. Some of them are climbable and are therefore more interesting, with the main aspect of the post being focused more of the views and such offered rather than the silo itself sometimes. They are abandoned, though I wanted to check whether this is considered "filler" by the majority of people.

I stumbled across such an interesting abandoned place today, it was such a beautiful find. When I got home I decided to look into it and I came to OAP like I have for many years and I get asked for money to be able to find out about this place. Are you kidding me? I have since deleted all of my content from here that I possibly could. It was sad doing it but so nice going through so many great memories of so many beautiful places. Some that were suggested to me from Rick Cooper when he and his wife would see places in my area as they were passing along in their boat and would message me so enthusiastically that I just had to go check these places out. Of course I always would. Which contributed to many locations on this site from the beginning of it all. I remember so many ups and downs through the years and many many great people who I have met along the way. To be asked for money to have full access to this site after all this time and contribution is so insulting. I am saying goodbye and enjoy the last 19 locations I wasn't able to erase. Hello, I am The Alarm Guy, I'm from BC and am an amateur explorer. I used to be pretty active during the pandemic but not so much any more. I am a big security system enthusiast and tinker with different systems in my spare time. If anyone wants information on security systems, I am more than happy to provide information, what you do with that information is not my concern, but I will provide information solely for the purpose of helping people make informed decisions on exploring places. I’ve been actively contributing to OAP with 22 albums and 15 locations, focusing on quality over quantity. While I do share exteriors, I only post them if I feel they’re genuinely worth it, easy to explore, or particularly cool. Typically, I remove exterior shots on existing locations unless I believe they add value, and I compensate for them with detailed descriptions. Recently, my photo quality, descriptions, and overall contributions have significantly improved as I’ve been more focused on delivering quality content. My end goal is to make as many contributions to the site as I can and hopefully I'll get to at least level 3. Thanks for reading my paragraph

Hey everyone, I have been interested in urban exploration for a while now and have been to many interesting places by myself and with trusted friends. We are always respectful of the places and make sure to leave everything how it was when we got there. I believe that this community would benefit from me being promoted to level 2, as it would allow me to find more places and make more meaningful contributions to the website. **My contributions:** 3 New locations, 11 Albums 2 level 3 locations, 8 level 2 locations, and 1 level 1 location I have also been an active member since the start of April and plan to continue posting more locations and albums, and engaging with the community. --- Thank you for your consideration.

Hello fellow urbexers, I have come to request an elevation of my status from Level 1 to the highly prestigious, Level 2. I've always been interested in history and how life was like back then, and that led me to discovering urban exploring, areas preserved for me to see and imagine what life was like back then. I made this account in September 2023, but I only really started posting in February 2024, and up until the past few days, my posts were sporadic. My first ever urbex activity was rooftopping a school, and after that, I got addicted to rooftopping schools, but after a while, I committed more to actual abandoned places, which I pursued whenever I had free time. It's taken me a little bit of time, since I focus a lot of my time on school and other extra-curriculars, along with the fact that making plans with friends is hard, but I found a little bit of time over the past few days and that has allowed me to finally reach and also surpass the minimum requirements, with 5 locations and 12 albums, with all my locations having write-ups. My photography skills may not be good, and my albums may not be the best, but I am always looking to improve. I always try my best to take interiors pictures that help people see my journey through the entire place, as I walked through it. I also forgot to take good exteriors a lot in my earlier albums, something that I have been working on in my last few, and I hope to work towards a better balance and more visually appealing albums in the future. Overall, I believe that Level 2 will bring me more locations that can allow me to practice my skills and help me with making albums that are better for anyone stumbling across them. I will also continue to work on finding locations for this community, and doing writeups for them, and Level 2 will give me some more motivation in doing that. That is why I believe that I should be considered for promotion to level 2. Thank you. If there's any advice that anyone can give on any of my locations or albums, I'd be really happy to hear about it.

Hello Everyone! I think its finally about time to submit an application for level 2. Being apart of this community over the last 4 years has been amazing! I feel as if I may meet the criteria for level 2, providing more then 1 popular location over the 4 years I've been apart of this website. I've also a decent amount of albums not only to my own locations but also many others I've descovered along the way! I still have many more photos I need to post as I haven't been around here in a while! But I'd like to thank everyone who conciders electing me :)

My contributions and qualifications are as follows: Made meaningful postings for eleven places by focusing on quality and accuracy. I've added more than 3 new locations to the database. Since January 30th, 2024, I have been an active participant in the forum thereby making me a veteran of six months. I commit to preserving our shared spaces and adding value to our society.
