Deep within the woods along the Bruce Trail in Crawford Lake Conservation area, sits the remains of an old barn or home. Easily accessible to anyone and not too difficult to find, four walls partially standing but still sitting in place. These walls look to be built out of stones that were chipped away and placed upon each other. Moss has grown over the top stones while the lower stones have wood shims between some of them still. The structure itself looks quite old. Within the walls or inside the home, there are several trees that have grown over the past several years. I don't know anything more about this structure other than that it's old and partially remains. It's built in an odd location for a farm as well, just on the side of hill that's heavily covered in trees and bush. An odd site that I noticed about 5 feet away from the structure was a mushroom that was bigger than a soccer ball. Perhaps this was very fertile land at some point.

Getting there... when you enter into the park, keep driving until you reach the farthest parking lot. There you'll find a gated path that park vehicles only take into the woods. A footpath sign that reads 'horseshoe trail' dots the path all the way. This path will go straight for about 200 feet then take a sharp right turn. You'll follow this path striaght for about 400 ft. while you pass other paths on each side of you. Keep going until you reach the end. The path will widen into a circle with a tree in the middle. Beyond that area, go straight into the woods and follow the blue Bruce Trail signs. You will be descending down a hill into the woods.... look to the left after about 40 ft. The stone walls sit there.

I'm giving a very nice facepalm... Not a mean and disrespectful facepalm.
