I caught this location by accident while driving on the mountain. I don't have any background info on the house but it looks like a 1930's-40's house on a large piece of land. There is a POE but I didn't enter (businesses on both sides). A revisit is planned to get interior photos. The house has been for sale for a few years.

Added by Ground State, autumn 2014: Squatters have been using it recently, as there was some semi-fresh fruit, a cell phone, and some minor belongs in one bedroom. This mansion is the only place that I've ever gotten lost inside of... rooms and staircases go up, down, and back again throughout the interior. All three residences are pretty much fully furnished, with all the personal belongings strewn everywhere. There must have been a very sudden eviction here, but there are no signs of a fire and no inspection notices mentioning marijuana grow-ops, meth labs, etc. I'd be really interested to find out what happened here. What other reasons are there for sudden evacuations where the tenants are not allowed back to reclaim any of their belongings?

Jacobite I don't think you are supposed to post POE info anywhere on this site.

On my second trip I found only one POE and that led to a basement apartment that seems to have been hastily evacuated (probably an eviction by the City Sheriff). No POE to main/upper floors. Note for sensitive viewers: there is a photo in this new set of a dead cat. It is right near the POE and at first I thought it was alive and sleeping.

There's 2 ways to access the property: one from Brucedale and the other through the front drive on Upp James. Whichever you use you'll have to park on Brucedale. It's easy to miss the house because of all the trees and bushes out front. Cheers.

My bad and apologies there bud. I didn't have the exact address # and thought that it was just below Mohawk when infact it's just below Fennell. The Google map has been updated. Thanks for letting me know that the map was not correct & sorry 'bout the trouble.
