... Attempted murder, anyway. Double-commercial building with attached apartment. After photographing some strange sights inside this building, I approached a snack bar across the street with a picnic table that seems to be frequented by the same group of golden-agers every time I drive by. As expected, I couldn't find a better source of info. They spun a tale of the hardships of eviction at this location. The landlord had heard reports of drug production inside the apartment. Wanting to help the tenants with their problems rather than kick them out, the landlord gave them numerous chances for social assistance. This was eventually no longer seen as offering help, but rather, as meddling - and the landlord was assaulted. Under Ontario's strict tenant laws, even this was not grounds for eviction. Therefore, as many landlords do when they are at the end of their rope, a declaration was made that the status of the entire building was changing. This led to the legal eviction of the tenant but also required the two commercial establishments in front to vacate. Out went "Hair Feelings" beauty salon and a gift basket store. What transpired after that fact is unknown; now the entire property sits broken and decayed. Even a construction/demolition trailer sitting on the property is now in a state of disrepair.
REVISITATION / FUTURE EXPLORATION STATUS: Upstairs was completely dark due to tight boarding. I did not have a flashlight during my visit and the bedroom contents of the entire 2nd level are left to the next explorer. The two commercial units in front were also not accessed (though they looked fairly empty).

good story to a rather plain looking commercial building from the outside
Nice entry, particularly liked the Meth interlude page. City workers just won't look the same to me anymore.
