If you decide you would like to take a nice bike ride or just go for a walk and your in the Thorold area there are a few neat old remains along this stretch of an old canal. A few have already been listed on here such as "where cats go to die" but I couldn't find anything for these locations. I don't think each require there own locations so I will place them together.
First appears to be an old flood control gate
Second is an old swing bridge foundation. Looks like it use to be a long swing bridge.
Third I think is an old lock
Fourth is a mystery, it was a stone square with brick lining the inside and a path into bush.
Fifth and final is actually at the end of Beaverdams Rd where I recommend parking. It was a strange rusted steel building surrounded by water and you could just make out a steel wheel sticking out of the water for some sort of valve or shut off.
