Only three properties sit on this road that the base bought up for expansion to be used for training purposes. Two out of the three are now abandoned. Jim Sandercock sold his family home with 300 acres of property to the government in 2008, the house dates back 5 generations. The house itself is gorgeous although you can notice the elements creeping in, water damage has ruined the upstairs flooring and made it very unsafe in some spots. The house oddly also has two kitchens and possibly a third smaller one, despite the fact the house is all one unit so it is unlikely this house was ever divided into separate living spaces. The house will be demolished in as little as 2 years.
I had permission to photograph this house so anyone wanting to visit the location I encourage to gain proper access.

Something wrong with these expropriations, as well as the 407 extension & original 407, but these ones north of Trenton are BS. Their reasoning is nice & sounds somewhat legit but to anyone that knows how these things really operate it is BS. It is convenient, that's it. Convenience should not be an excuse for expropriation.

Agree very much! There is one family that refuses to sell their land so yeah they've run into a snag, this crap has been going on for 5 years!
