This house has been recently abandoned, as it is still in use in Google Street View. Such a shame, will no doubt succumb to a housing development.
The house belonged to Farmer Daniel Lamon in 1878. The house is located on the west border of East Whitby, not far from Columbus.
Update.. This house is owned by the nearby college and used for the forensic students, fake murders and crimes are staged in this house for the students to practice on. I was given this information by security members of the college... since it is still used occasionally the owners do not want people trespassing and have a pretty close watch on this house.
Update - KnightHawk This is one I've been watching for a long while, and only today managed to get inside. It's quite interesting inside, but there is a LOT of black mold on the ground floor! If you venture in, wear a mask!! Aside from one door, it's still boarded up tightly.

I drove by this yesterday, it's now being completely renovated. They've begun repairing the roof and it looks as if a bunch was being done inside as well. There were about 5-10 construction vehicles there.
YOU WOULD BE STUPID NOT TO WEAR A MASK FOR THIS ONE!! JUST SAYIN'. Also the property has now be sold.
Just posted some pictures of a few of my detecting finds from this site from 2012. The old barns on this farm were some of the most beautiful I've ever seen! This site even had it's original outhouses in the backyard, although they were overgrown with lilac bushes and hard to see.
The screen door is unlocked and wide open. The dog with us started growling when we tried moving past the main room so be cautious.
