Crescent Beach Edgemere Estate

Demolished Mansion in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada

Dec 13 2012

 |  1046

Recent status Demolished
Location # 5969

On the shore of Lake Erie, hidden in between the Friendship Trail and Crescent Beach, one can find a wealthy estate property with a beautifully abandoned house near the front entrance. The property is lived on, with a newer home closer to the lake (thus, the FM status). However, the size, privacy and age of the trees surrounding the estate allow for a fairly well-shrouded approach. Suggestion is to park in the public lot for the Friendship Trail at 42.885283, -78.960318 and enjoy a 400 m stroll east along the trail to the estate.

such a shame that it is gone now, nothing but dirt glass and pieces of shingles left, would have been awesome to see!

I love this place! Too bad there are so many wasps, looks like it would be beautiful to see in the summer. You could spend the whole day!

Throw in some ticks. That's a winning trio.

Heck of a lot of raspberry bushes you have to tear through too to avoid walking down the driveway. Stinging pain from both would make for a great summer explore haha.
