Edit: Missing coords, tried to fix. No idea if this is even the right hillcrest road. Pin is absolutely not where the car is, however.
This is an abandoned car wreck from the 1950's. It's located on an old concession road, we've been walking our dogs there for years and have always found it pretty interesting. I've talked to a few of the local folk about the history around it and rumor has it that a couple had been driving and lost control of their car, hit the tree and did not survive the crash. Ive heard this story from a variety of sources but haven't found any records to confirm. There is a large steep hill beside the wreck, which makes me believe it did have to do with losing control while coming down it.
To get to it you would go all the way down to the end of Hillcrest Road, it is a dead end and at the end there is a trail where the old concession road would have been. Start walking down the trail, which is beautiful in itself if you enjoy nature, and about a 10 to 15 minutes walk along the trail you will find the car just off the path, you can't miss it.
I have some more shots from our walk there today I will be posting as soon as I can.

Being me, and seeing no markers for the trail, I assumed I could have been on someone's property line. I went to the house to ask. The older gentleman seemed kind of shocked a younger girl would be looking for this carwreck! Haha. But he kindly told me the way to go, and reminded me to watch for the hill! :) Was an amazing morning walk to the car, definitely had to of came from the top of the hil
that looks like a mean crash, looks like it might of rolled and wrapped around the tree
I know of 2 similar fates in Halton forests, '50s cars as well. One is squeezed in between 2 trees now. Will hike in and get pics to share by end of summer.
Wow, your teacher was really lucky. I would prefer to own an older car over any of the new ones these days, minus the downsides you described..haha. The crazy thing about this spot is that you can actually visualize how the car could have lost control because of the steepness of the hill behind.
That was a serious issue with most 50's cars. In an accident, the driver would usually be hurled at the steering wheel, the inner metal frame would bend, and you'd end up taking the column in the chest. Or, like an old teacher of mine, have your head go thru the windshield (which somehow she survived).
