Montrose Safe House

Demolished House in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Recent status Demolished
Location # 5050

A small house and storage garage featuring a variety of left-over items including a fantastic collection of old vinyl albums. The name of the location comes from an antique safe that can be found in the bedroom. I had reservations about posting this location because of the worth of the safe and not wanting to see it disappear.

There are some nostalgic, personal items photographed in the gallery that allowed me to track the previous surviving tenants down. They now live in Buffalo, New York. I attempted to gain some information about the property but quickly got the feeling that there were very dire circumstances involved here and left it at that.

Plan your parking ahead of time, as Montrose is a very busy road and there is nowhere to "hide" here other than to pull over at the shoulder. The driveway of this property is gated and does not allow room to pull in.

Thanks for sharing this with us GS, I hope it doesn't meet the same fate as one of my previous finds. Keep a good eye on it!

I drive by it almost every day exploring and would be so upset if it suddenly the land was developed or it was torn down and I sat on it without posting. I guess it will be my first experiment in seeing whether any increased vandalism / destruction comes from posting.
