Demolished Grey Insulbrick

Demolished House in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Location # 4857

A gutted back road home owned by a Toronto developer. Permission to demolish was granted to a Niagara contractor in October 2011 so this house likely will not be here long.

The house features a basement fireplace heating system and vermiculite insulation throughout, which may have contributed to its demise. Prior to its closure in 1990, much of the worlds supply of vermiculite came from a mine near Libby, Montana. This mine had a natural deposit of asbestos which resulted in the contamination of almost all 20th century North American vermiculite insulation with asbestos fibers.

The basement of the house looks as though it contains multiple left-over items but is flooded with water.

The great thing about being told to wipe your card is that you can download a program to your computer that will do a forensic search on your device and bring back every image that has been deleted from it, and you can select a date range so that you don't have to restore 5 years worth of deleted pics. It's called zero assumption recovery. Now you know!!
