Remains of the Lockerby Mill Dam.

Lockerby - a hamlet on the 6th and 7th concessions. There was a post office briefly in 1857. Lockerby had a grist mill and sawmill, and in 1872 a dam was built. An electrical power plant was built in 1894. Source: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~onbcgs/bcgstwpelderslie.htm

On the opposite side of the road from the dam, there is a small cairn dedicated to the owners of the mill. Next to the dam, there is a really cool shady spot to pull off the road. A nice place to stop for a rest.
