Here you will find the lone, historic headstone of Mary Misoner. Since it is positioned right at the side of the road, the grave marker is surrounded by a rusting metallic barrier in a cheap attempt at keeping passing vehicles from swerving and wiping out the marker. The barrier looks like it may succeed in stopping a fast-moving bicycle.

Mary is believed to have died in childbirth. The epitaph on her headstone is too worn to read clearly anymore but some online research provided this: "Here lies the body of Mary Misoner, the wife of William Misoner, Daughter of Isaac and Jane van Sickly who was born, November the 23rd, 1779, and departed this life October the 17th, 1801, Aged 22 Years 10 Months & 24 Days. Here I Lay and Sleep in Peace."

Across the road from the headstone can be found a few signs of an old farm: concrete property posts, the base of an old barn, and plenty of rampant daffodils growing in the spring.

I read somewhere that this lady did not get along with other family members that's why she is buried alone like this.
