Labelled by the City of Hamilton as demolished in 2010, the Imtrex Commodities yard still contains ghosts of its industrial past. Not all of the buildings were removed, much to an urbex lover's delight. A good part of the interior of the yard is well forested and used as a bush-party location for local youth. They have politely provided an entry point that appears to have been accessible for many years without ever having been repaired. Imtrex shut their doors in 1989.
REVISITATION / FUTURE EXPLORATION STATUS: Winter visitors can use ice to access portions of the flooded main building (or just bring high boots). There might still be a set of stairs in the front portion of the building to get up to the exposed doorways in the 2nd level for some cool drop-down shots of the interior.
ADDED INTEL from Ground State: This place is heavily watched by the staff of the rail station and I didn't mention two police cars cruising the perimeter 30 seconds after I had escaped the fence-line.

@Ground state: I remember seeing a heart and flowers posted on the north corner of the fence. Didn't think to take a picture of it.
BTW: something is missing. I see I commented last year on an interesting murder memorial that was posted under this location but that gallery for sure is no longer here. And that gallery was for a totally different location that was downtown. Weird.
Indeed the same place as new location Ghosts of Imtrex, 9323. This never showed up on the location search... must be due to not submitting GPS coords when this was posted. My gallery should be moved here.
Wow... that 2nd pic is a little eerie with the RIP spray painting on the wall. I did a quick Google search and found that Paul Haggerty, 19, and Lucas Deane, 18 were both murdered in Feb. 2007 outside the Dizzy Weasel bar on Barton Street East.
