After enjoying a house outside Arthur and striking gold with the Sinking Feeling house, I was keeping my eyes open for another place to explore on the way home. Just on the edge of Erin, I did a double take and a u-turn when this vernacular style farmhouse revealed itself.
Exposed to neighbours right across the street and with a farm on either side, I ignored the posted signs and started to snap. Fail time. Although distracted, I heard the sound of a parking brake being applied and then one long blare of a horn. I turned around, and sure enough, the farmer had caught me out. I walked over as he got out of his truck and introduced myself, told him why I was trespassing on his property and asked a few questions about the house. He was concerned primarily about liability as he said there were some open wells on the property. He wasn't pissed by any means, but you could tell he wasn't interested in giving a tour! He did say the house had been 'modernized' somewhat inside. Bummed out, I snapped off another shot and left with him and his wife eyeballing me.
IF you feel inclined to visit (I don't know if there is a poe), I'd suggest parking up on the side road north of where this is located and approaching from the side. You'd have much better luck waiting for the trees to provide cover, and of course there is the prospect of the people across the road tipping the farmer off (if that's what happened this time around).
So no third win that day.

Confirmed. A ray of supersonic light just poked through my screen and now I am blind.
It's just to keep the massive rays of sunshine that emanate from my soul in check. I don't want to appear too cuddly. Or what have you.
Hmmmm...lets see....every one of your avatars had some sort of skull effigy...and you do call yourself doom vs. Nah, just a little teddy bear...NOT!
Dammit. Well, he warned about several holes on the property. He also mentioned how it was quite retrofitted inside. Still a shame to lose a spot. Me, scary?
This place has been demo'd. Guess you scared the crap out of those poor people doom!
Ah, awkay. Ya your right about that overlap, i thought about that afterwards. Its like 20 yards or something i think.
The Town of Erin's boundary on the west is 26. This is on the east side of 26. Erin is correct. There is always overlap between towns, townships, counties, but this one is close enough and within the boundaries.
He certainly isn't taking chances...the orange fencing, the boarded up windows. I am just bummed I didn't see what was behind the place, nor in the crappy falling apart side addition.
Nice try doom at least ya gave it your best! maybe someone else will have better luck another time.
