Located on MacKenzie Lake Rd. just east of hwy 127, this was a Polish settlement. The hamlet of Gunters is located to the south and the hamlet of McKenzie Lake is located to the SE, near the SE tip of Algonquin Park.
Wallace was the end of the line for the Central Ontario Railway, and the tracks are now gone. All that remains is the white community hall, the foundation of the Catholic church and the graveyard. There are many abandoned farms in the area as the land was not good for farming and everyone finally gave up.

McKenzie Lake North Road from Gunters to Hwy 127 is built on the railbed of the Central Ontario Railway as can be seen in rock cuts along the route. Near Hwy 127 there was a Y track for turning the locomotives.
