Abandoned for quite some time now, the Christian Hoover house was built circa 1870's. Behind the house is a number of collapsed sheds and the foundation of a Barn and one remaining Silo. According to the Richmond Hill Heritage Inventory the house was built in the 1870's and was home to the Gormley Triplets.

I was at this location April 2013. The porch is now removed but the city of Richmond Hill has temporarily stopped demolition because the developer failed to obtain a building permit to demolish.
Just came back from walking my dogs and am sad to say, this house is in the process of being torn down. All out buildings are currently gone (including the silo) and the house is now started.
I love this place. I have to make myself not stop every time I drive by. Every season has its own beauty.
Cool house but definitely good that it's boarded up. The obvious reason for abandonment was a house fire which burned mostly the walls from what I noticed. It was very dark inside and hard to take pictures, but none the less a cool explore. Some parts of the floor have become a little more unstable, so please be careful!
A very solid and well built home, floors are still safe. Nice to see the craftsmanship of yesterday.

This place still sits with no noticeable work being done. Such a shame. Looks like it was such a nice house at one point.
