The tiny Bethany Post Office has been in existence since 1875. It sat decaying for years, but has since been restored and is now used for local tourism to the village. It is claimed that this is the oldest restored post office in the province; however, this is partly true. The restored post office in Roseneath is actually the oldest restored post office in Ontario still in use as a post office.
