Conlin Road Bridge

Demolished Bridge/Locks in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

This old abandoned one lane bridge crosses Oshawa Creek alongside Conlin Road in Oshawa, just west of Durham College. I can(a)t find anything about its history, but I assume it was replaced with the divided roadway to keep up with urban expansion.

Old bridge is gone. The purpose of this bridge was probably so kids could get to the long forgotten Conlin Road P.S, which was directly across the street from Durham College. The 1960's school is long gone, it was in really bad shape inside(nightmare fuel) and was demolished in May 2004.

Very similar to Hwy 11 from as far south as Bradford all the way north, if you dig deep (which most of you have), the ghost towns/roads are vast! Love these, really takes you in to the past!

I could be wrong but i think that bridge was there even when Conlin was one lane back in the 1980s..
