Hazards of Burnhamthorpe Horse stable

The hazards here are more natural, including plants, glass, insects, and what you would usually see in abandoned houses/horse stables, such as a flooded basement. There is also little road traffic, so you don't have to worry about neighbours.

History of Burnhamthorpe Horse stable

This used to be the Oakbridge Equestrian Centre, you can still see awards and files from one of the pictures. A lot of other houses in this area have already been demolished, and this one seems to be on the chopping block, as Oakvillian suburban development creeps north.

This area had 4 buildings, the practice area/stables, a storage house, a small animal barn, and the house itself. The horse areas do kind of smell, and theres a lot of stuff on the grounds. Once you get to the house though, its a lot cleaner, and nearly everything is intact, except for one broken window on the second floor. There's not much to say, most of the stuff are in the pictures and it's just a regular old abandoned house.

indeed1: Hazards Regarding insects, you're out in the countryside, of course there will be insects. Lots of tall grass and conservation area-like parts of the property Regarding plants... just refer to the above bullet point History Not sure how long this has been vacant, but seemingly a good couple of years.

This house currently awaits demolition for 139 'dwellings'. Of what kind those dwellings are, I have no idea. The link which shows this data can be found here.

Detailed Only have this set to L3 due to the recent boarding and seemingly fully intact buildings, possible with items inside.

This property is huge! It's a beautiful property. Even though the home itself is actually not very big at all, I imagine it would've been nice inside. The front door (although unfortunately totally boarded when I got to the place), looks detailed and isn't a traditional rectangular door.

I have no idea why they boarded the hell out of this place so bad, it's not like it's in the city and is likely to be trashed like hell and full of squatters, but it's a shame. I would've liked to take pictures of the stables and inside the arena and stuff, but I was unable to do that.

I really wish I got there a bit sooner. Luckily, it was a nice day out, and just taking a look at the property itself was pretty nice.

This is pretty cool. Since it isn't the only thing abandoned on that particular stretch of Burnhamthorpe, I wonder if a develop has finally set their sights on that immediate area and is looking to buy out each of the farms/occupants one-by-one.
