Hazards of One and A Half Train Bridges, and a Drain

Depends on what you do here.

History of One and A Half Train Bridges, and a Drain

The bridge foundations are all that remains of the Canadian Northern Railway bridge that once crossed this valley, built in 1917 and abandoned around 1937, and presumably taken down for scrap sometime soon after. The active train bridge belongs to Canadian Pacific, and was probably built along with the line, between 1912 and 1914. The drain is part of the new subdivision to the north, and is likely the burying of a local creek that is visible on maps before construction started, but disappears after.

None of these really make a solid location on their own, but they're all in one spot, so they get a collective location. The bridge foundations are just concrete abutments, some falling into the river after years of erosion. The drain is a short back breaker that only goes back about 50 meters before reaching a drop shaft lacking a ladder up. The active train bridge can be scrambled around on, but there's not much to see up there, just watch for trains if you do go on top of it.
