There's a fence surrounding the property and a large presence of nosy neighbours. There is some evidence of drug addicts and squatters living inside the building, which includes blankets, used syringes, somebody's social insurance number, and a birth certificate.
I have no idea when this place opened, but I do know that it closed sometime around the late 2010's or early 2020's. The owner died and his wife sold the property to developers, who plan on turning the site into condominiums.
This location is a decent size, and it was relatively easy to gain entry. It sits on a hill between the 406 and the Second Welland Canal. All the ball hockey equipment has been completely removed inside and out, except for a few orange balls here and there.

Awesome... I'm glad you're still out there exploring and adding in spots in the Niagara region. I can always count of you for finding something new to give me a weekend destination!

Arrghhh... the City of St. Catharines (or the demolition company) has descended... full perimeter is sealed completely as of June 16, 2023. It's a bang-up job too that is going to take some real effort on the homeless population to penetrate. I'll keep checking it throughout the summer and will update when the interior is available again.
