Resurrection Lutheran Church

Yet another diocesan sale of property for land development. This church was rebuilt up the escarpment on the edge of Brock University’s property and the old building has been posted with an upcoming condominium development. With this looming deadline, I’d make it level 3. But this is still fully intact and another abandoned church in St. Catharines was destroyed by fire earlier this week.

Neighbourhood youth/squatters have already been in this church, since the back doors face the escarpment and have no sight-lines with neighbours. The clergy offices have been used as obvious hang-outs and there is a squatter area underneath the stairs with the handicap chair lift.
