Location # 19266

This is a decaying factory that closed in 2002. It is a different location than nearby 17816 (Locomotive Graveyard). The locomotive holding yard on the south side of this property is an outdoor exploration that requires no building infiltration. As well, location 18933 is also a location in and of itself.

The Welland Pipe Ltd. plant was a subsidiary of Stelco. Citing a lack of orders as the cause, Stelco announced in June of 2002 that it was laying off 175 workers at this plant. It never reopened. A skeleton crew of workers continue to use an area at the end of the building facing the road. However, the entire rear of the plant is abandoned. Suggested parking is at the very western end of Ridge Road. There you can find some dirt-bike paths that lead to the rear of the plant. The extra walk is warranted, as there is security that cumulatively patrols the entire industrial park and it is worth it to park completely out of the area.
