For some reason there is still a tiny portion of wall still standing. About the size of a doorway. I'm not sure why it hasn't been taken down, perhaps it will become some sort of monument or something? I'm not sure.
Also, while looking on Google Street view dates, the new townhouses built directly beside this school reside on what was an abandoned building only a few years ago. The buiding was taken down around 2019-2020 which was a shame because it looked really cool.
There were two buildings there actually. One more hidden by foliage.
Plans called for preservation of a small arched section of the building as a small memento on site.

This school was constructed in 1955 making it one of the oldest schools in Vaughan, being built way before the surrounding houses were. There is lots of information about the school in this document regarding its demoltion: https://pub-vaughan.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ashx?DocumentId=87187 The school hasn't been used as a public school since 2001-2002, but was then used for programs for autistic children from 2002-2018. So it was only actually abandoned for around 4 years. What I find very surprising is that despite it being abandoned and with lots of people nearby, before it was demolished it hadn't really faced any vandalism or damage at all.
