Because the cemetery sits behind a property, you can potentially run into property owners. Although the site being historical would imply public property, it is unclear what the ownership of the location is. Also lots of bugs so best to wear bug spray and bring an exploring partner.
A burial ground that is owned by the Religious Society of Friends for the Quaker peoples. It is one of the oldest cemeteries located in Ajax. Most graves date back to the late 1800’s. There’s not much information about this cemetery that is available online. There’s a proposal to build a 25-story building next to the property, which really would make no sense for the area.
It is very awkward to access from the road as a big vacant property sits in front of it, and you need to maneuver around it to find the hidden cemetery. It’s a nice little place, but some of the graves are decaying so watch your step and be careful. Worth a visit if you're nearby!
