Way back in the early 2010s, DM420 and I used to drive by this property and want to explore it, but it was actively visited each day by a gruff-looking, no-nonsense fellow and we weren't confident that the house was abandoned.
We were more than a little slow on the uptake with that, as it seems like every skid in town has visited this house repeatedly. It would have been nice to have gotten inside sooner, as the house is a deathtrap now and should be hesitantly visited. The floor at the entrance has completely collapsed and the property owner has stretched some moving truck ramps across the gap. It's not a small hole either, and there is serious concern that the whole ramp bridge is going to plunge into the abyss. I didn't explore the upstairs level, as I was here alone and too worried about safety.
The highlight, for me, were the newspapers in the laundry room with some of the best, classic 80s movies still playing in the theatres.
Park in the giant plaza to the east and follow the train tracks in for an absolute stress-free visit.
