I was unable to find much about this online other than a youtube video of someone exploring it while it was still open. The property is owned by the Caldwell First Nations, and nothing is being done to it, other than the new ish looking roof, to protect against more decay.

I was told the building was part of a plan to build a hotel and golf course, but the developers went bankrupt before it was built. The First Nation bought the land and it’s just been sitting there untouched for about 15 or 20 years now. The particular First Nation involved was provided their first reserve land on the mainland around the same time as these photos, but their online presence has disappeared. Possible they have gone bankrupt.

Explored this site yesterday. Property is maintained and very clean, but building remains abandoned with construction still to stud. Everything is closed up tight other than a hole to left of the front door that is too small to get in. You could drop a drone inside. Likely filled with ban swallows, but also 100% infested with bees. They’re going in and out through the walls by the power hookup box in the right rear. Property to the west is busy but can’t see to this lot. Properties to the east are cottagers and not around a lot. Road is rarely used but it’s very difficult to approach unseen. Best bet for that is a path to the far left of the property that zig zags through trees and pops out behind the property. Property has no power.
