Here sits another victim of Highway expansion. The Heber Down farm, long a landmark in Durham Region, now sits sadly abandoned.

Heber Down Farm was built in 1860. According to the 1877 Beers Map, this land was owned at the time by an individual named Hogarth. W. Heber Down eventually bought the property in the latter part of the 20th century. The farm sits to the north of the Heber Down Conservation Area.

I found this house on google maps and wanted to go check it out. When I refreshed my page the house disappeared. I''m not 100% but I believe this house has been torn down.
