I first came upon this one much earlier in the year, last January I think, but I wasn't completely sure if it was abandoned at the time, plus it's on an active farm (with off site owners); so didn't approach it at the time. When I drove by today though, the summer growth of weeds made it very clear it wasn't lived in. Took a chance and it paid off well - this house was easy to access, and was structurally pretty sound. Front living room window is completely gone, and there is a vintage upright piano in the dining room. I'm sure there is a basement, but I didn't want to overstay my welcome so didn't look for the basement stairs. There are 2 staircases leading upstairs, one from the kitchen, the other from the front foyer - they quickly merge in a middle landing before continuing as a single staircase to the 2nd floor. I parked a couple hundred feet to the West of the property, right by where an old railway right of way crosses the road (tracks have been removed). Seemed to be the safest place; that way anybody passing by would just think it was some hiker going for a walk.

I was really disappointed to find this house demolished. I wanted a shot of the piano. Nothing left but a few red bricks. Looks like they are going to take the barns down too.
